High-Low

High-Low

An easy, luck-based game for two-players.

Requirements:

  • Ages: 6 and up
  • Players: 2 players
  • Time: 5-10 minutes
  • Each player must have a legal Promise deck

Each player must set their Promise deck in front of them, face down.

The youngest player goes first.

Order of Operations

The player draws a card from the top of their deck and places it face up in front of their opponent.

The opponent now guesses and announces if the card they will draw will be higher or lower than the card the player just played.

The opponent now plays a random card from the top of their deck. If the opponent guessed correctly, they take both cards as a trick. If the opponent guessed incorrectly, the player takes both cards instead.

Next, the roles are reversed and gameplay alternates between players until all cards have been played.

Once all cards have been played, the players will count how many cards they have taken (which will be twice as many tricks as they have won). The player with the higher number wins.

Once the score is tallied and the winner is declared, both players sort out the cards they have and return them to their proper owner.
