Deck Building
Most games in Promise TCG require a “legal deck” to play. The legal deck is very simple. These are the requirements:
Legal Deck
- 20 Promise TCG Cards.
- No Duplicates
- Your name marked
Name Marking
A legal deck requires some way to identify which cards belong to which player. For convenience, there is a space at the bottom of the card for your name to be written.
It is best not to write on the backs of cards, since that can potentially be a way to give away the front matter by unique markings.
If you do not want to write on your cards, other options exist.
- Put them in card sleeves with unique backs
- Use removable stickers specific to each player
- Use transparent card sleeves and write your name on the face
Designing Your Own Game
Many Promise players enjoy making their own game and playing it how they like. Part of the intentional design of Promise is to allow for children and youth to enjoy it however they like. Some elements of Promise to keep in mind are as follows.
Card Elements
- Power Level (Top left: 123)
- Rarity (Top right: ✩✩ Uncommon)
- Card Name (Top center: Genesis, Exodus)
- Card Set (Top center, second line: Books of the Law)
